Welcome Morehouse 1997

Dear Classmates:

Welcome to the site for our 20th year reunion activities, which we will be held on May 19, 20, and 21 2017. The reunion committee has been working extremely hard to make sure that our twenty year celebration is special indeed. In order to finance our reunion events, the committee is asking for a $200 registration fee from each classmate, and $50 for a spouse or significant other. Starting March 1, registration will increase to $250 per classmate. Registrants after April 15 will have to pay $300 due to the additional financial and logistical challenge of accommodating later participants. Children can attend the barbecue and eat for free. Payments can be made online by completing registration here on the site. After signing in, bracelets will be passed out to paid registrants at the Meet & Greet on Friday night. The bracelets identify you as having paid for the activities.

Our 20th reunion also coincides with the 150th anniversary of Morehouse College. It will be a special year for you and, more importantly, an historic opportunity for the College. It is our responsibility in this time to ensure that Morehouse College can continue to educate young men of color into future leaders for another 150 years. Help your fellow brothers of the class of 1997 raise $100,000 for Morehouse during our reunion cycle.

Although we started out on those humid Atlanta nights as “900 Deep,” our current size stands at about 500. If you each donate $200 to the school between now and May of 2017, it will yield $100,000 for young men of the House. This amounts to a simple $10 donation for each year that you have had the honor and privilege of being A Morehouse Man. Let’s start giving now! Please hit the “Give Back” button above to go to the class donation page for more information.

For information on the class activities, please click the "Events" link above for a full itinerary and directions to those locations. Please contact me with questions at srice@morehouse1997.com or at (301) 974-9712. I look forward to seeing you in May!
